This is the latest generation of Kindle. Amazon’s 6” Wireless Reading Device. It is slim and thin, so makes it easy to handle just like reading a magazine. It was released by Amazon on February 9th, 2009. It is available for purchase on February 24th, and the first price when it was released was $359. Kindle is a device that makes reading easier. With the weight only 10.2 ounces and the dimension only 8” x 5.3” and 0.36” by thickness, it is as easy to carry as you carry a book, and even more. I myself have never thought to become a kindle lover. I am a book reader and I used to carry around a hardcover novel with more than 300 pages everywhere. The books I used to read cost around $35. Now, I can get the same book for less than $10. What an amazing convert!

This new generation of kindle (Kindle 2) has so many improvements than the previous generation, kindle 1. It has new sharper 16 levels of e-ink display, faster page display by 20 percents, longer battery life, and more storage about seven times than the previous generation. It can hold over 1500 books. There is also a new feature called Read to Me Text to Speech that can make the reading experience more enjoyable.

This latest generation of Kindle is far more powerful than Kindle 1. If you want to convert from a book reader to PDF, this is the right time, with Kindle 2.
